The Webby Awards is the highest honor you can receive on the internet and the most respected symbol of success. The 15th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from across the U.S. and more than 60 countries worldwide.

The interactive website for the Captain John Smith National Historic Trail, the nation's first water-based historic trail, chronicles the exploration of the Chesapeake Bay by Captain John Smith as he first charted the Chesapeake Bay from 1607-1609. The site's main goal is to increase awareness and visitation to the 3,000 miles of historic trails and points of interest around the Chesapeake. The website includes cutting-edge mapping technologies, interactive Flash maps, build-your-own itinerary capability and live buoy feeds that provide real-time bay conditions to boaters and fishermen. Winners for both The Webby Awards and People's Voice Awards were announced on May 3, 2011. The 15th Annual Webby Awards ceremony was held on June 13, 2011 and broadcast live, online to an international audience.
