A+T LAUNCHES NEW COMMERCE SITE FOR 180s
Alexander +Tom designed and developed a new online strategy and e-commerce site for performance apparel company, 180s. The site features an enhanced “look and feel” and an intuitive, consumer-friendly shopping experience. The backend of the site is supported by a content management system and a custom built administrative application. The content management system allows 180s to make content updates, such as copy and image changes, to their non-commerce pages, while the administrative application allows them to manage their online store. Integrated with their ERP data system, the application pulls real time inventory and UPS shipping information and securely transfers purchase information to their business fulfillment centers for processing and distribution.

The Johns Hopkins University’s National Center for Preparedness and Catastrophic Event Response (PACER) worked with Alexander + Tom to design and develop a comprehensive online resource which included a public facing website and a private portal intranet. The website features an interactive slide show, newsletter subscriptions, RSS feeds, dynamically generated calendars, dynamic Google maps, and news and press releases that are pulled from and managed by the intranet’s administrative tools.

DeWalt MobileLock is a jobsite security system that allows builders to protect & track their expensive equipment and vulnerable jobsites through GPS location and other types of sensors. A+T created an easy-to-use web interface that allows customers direct visibility to the location of their equipment via satellite imaging. The online web tools enable the user of the mobile lock to set alarms, alerts, and schedules for the various sensors on the GPS tracking unit.

Alexander + Tom launches innovative mini site for the College of William & Mary and wins an award for “Best Microsite” in the Education category from the Admissions Marketing Report, a leading college marketing publication. The new site supports a student outreach campaign focused on sexual assault education, awareness, and prevention. A+T DEVELOPS ONLINE FIREARMS SAFETY TRAINING PROGRAM
The Maryland Department of Public Safety & Corrections is working with Alexander + Tom to design and develop an online Firearms Safety Training certification program. Anyone wishing to purchase a handgun for the first time in Maryland must complete this firearms safety training class. After successful completion of the online course, users will receive a certificate to allow them to own a firearm in the state of Maryland. The online course saves cost over the classroom training sessions that have been required until now. The new program will also allow the state of Maryland to record, edit, and track all certificate records. A+T provides the entire system to The Maryland State Police, from program consulting, to design and development, hardware and software, and reporting systems.

A+T CREATES VEHICLE SAFETY PRESENTATION FOR U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT)
The DOT’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration contracted with Alexander + Tom to design and produce an innovative presentation for their exhibit at an international vehicle standards safety conference in Lyon, France. A+T worked with the DOT’s internal subject matter experts to develop messaging and impactful visualizations about their research and development programs. A+T delivered a widescreen formatted video suitable for international standards with rich motion graphics, voice over, and sound effects to be displayed on large plasma screens at the event. The presentation was also formatted and optimized for webcast.
