Ruby on Rails / AS3 Programmer

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have the following experience:

  • Building dynamic, database-driven web sites (3+ years)
  • Ruby on Rails (2+ years)
  • mySQL (2+ years)
  • Apache or other linux-based web servers (2+ years)
  • Data integration, web services, and XML (2+ years)
  • Being self-motivated, pro-active, and working both independently and as a part of a team

 

ADDITIONAL PLUSES
Stronger consideration will be given to candidates with the following experience:

  • ActionScript 3/Flex SDK - highly desired
  • Various linux source control and deployment tools such as git
  • Developing iPhone and Android apps
  • Advanced JavaScript programming
  • Large-scale content management systems
  • Java, C#, or PHP

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Hires will:

  • Produce and maintain well-documented code, and also maintain and debug existing code
  • Create innovative solutions to complex business problems
  • Rapidly investigate and resolve issues on production systems
  • Perform quality assurance testing on applications in development
  • Interface with clients to discuss technical issues
  • Provide timely reports on task/project status to management
