BALTIMORE, MD (March 13, 2002) - Alexander &
Tom, Inc. (www.alextom.com) an interactive marketing
agency, was awarded three Addy Awards this weekend
by the Baltimore Advertising Association. The
Addys, an industry award from the American
Advertising Federation, are designed to recognize
and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.
Alexander & Tom was honored for their interactive
work for Adams golf, PUMA, and The Nature Conservancy
of Alabama. Alexander & Tom was also given
a Citation of Excellence in the Self Promotion
Category for the design of their in-house stationary
package.
The Judges Award for Public Service was presented
to Alexander & Tom for an educational multimedia
website designed for the Nature Conservancy of
Alabama (www.nowandforeveralabama.org), which
provides an overview of the diversity of plant
and animal life found in Alabama. Inside this
multimedia website one can see rich photography
and video segments of Alabamas natural legacy
- the wealth of plants, animals and land preserved
by The Nature Conservancy.
The second Addy was awarded to Alexander &
Tom for CD-ROM design and production for PUMA
sporting goods. The disk based sales package was
built as an interactive marketing promotion to
support the product launch of a new line of PUMA
athletic shoes. The CD-ROM was distributed at
the Paris premiere of the movie "Yamakasi"
in which the Yamakasi performers wear the featured
Puma shoe.
The third Addy was given in the category of Internet
advertising for an Adams Golf internet-based game.
Adams Golf challenged Alexander & Tom to develop
a unique interactive marketing tool to showcase
their new line of Tight Lies GT/ST golf clubs.
Alexander & Tom combined technology and gaming
to create "Tight Lies Driving Range,"
an online realistic game set in a virtual driving
range.
