Towson University Website & Marketing
Reach and Communicate with a Youth Audience
Overview
Alexander & Tom researched, planned, wrote, designed and developed a student recruitment website for Towson University. This site was designed with a progressive look and feel to reach and communicate with a youthful audience. In a follow-up effort, we created a new design and home page strategy for the university's main website. We produced a dozen templates that Towson used to manage the layout and formatting of content throughout the site. In order to achieve optimal results, we conducted focus groups with prospective students, and interviewed staff to determine content needs and organization. A+T worked with university content developers and photographers to create and design thirteen virtual tours.
After completing the project, we worked with Towson's marketing department to develop email campaigns for distribution to prospective students – Flash based emails and HTML, newsletter-style emails. A variety of email designs was sent to test which email types received the most responses. The overall goal of the email campaign was to have students visit the website and request information or schedule a visit.
