Digital Marketing Strategist (Mid-level)
Location: Baltimore, MD | Hybrid work environment
The Digital Marketing Specialist will play an active role across the full client marketing process, with a clear emphasis on paid media execution and optimization. You’ll help translate business goals into audience strategy, campaign structure, and measurable plans, then run day-to-day performance work across channels. This role is digital-first and data-driven, while staying comfortable coordinating with other tactics that support the broader marketing mix (including email nurturing and organic social).
You’ll support integrated programs for global healthcare and life sciences organizations, federal government clients, and a handful of Maryland-based community and tourism-focused projects, partnering closely with internal teams to keep campaigns organized, on track, and improving over time. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience managing paid campaigns and communicating results clearly.
Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and optimize paid search in Google Ads (keywords/structure, queries and negatives, ads/assets, bidding, pacing).
- Manage paid social across Meta and LinkedIn (targeting, creative testing, lead-generation, optimization).
- Support third-party paid programs (sponsorships/partners/vendors), including partner communication and logistics, tracking, lead cleanup and performance summaries.
- Maintain campaign best practices: UTMs, naming conventions, launch QA, and documentation.
- Monitor performance and execute optimizations to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Build and deploy email nurture/lifecycle campaigns (segmentation, copywriting, QA, scheduling, reporting).
- Support organic social planning and scheduling, content calendars, and post/creative coordination.
- Create clear performance updates and reporting with insights, tests, and recommendations.
- Join client calls and internal check-ins, communicate status/results, and document next steps.
- Stay organized across accounts: timelines, deliverables, priorities, and follow-through.
- Support promotion for live events and tradeshows (paid/organic, email/social coordination, timelines, wrap-ups).
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of digital marketing experience with meaningful hands-on time in paid media.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Comfort supporting email marketing and nurture execution (segmentation basics, QA, scheduling, reporting).
- Strong organizational habits and attention to detail across campaigns, deadlines, and documentation.
- Client-ready communication: able to explain what’s happening, what’s working, and what you’re testing next.
- A collaborative, positive mindset and a steady approach to managing priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience with tools like HubSpot, Marketo, or similar
- Experience planning and producing online webinars
